Dr Lekshmi B S
Lekshmi is a physicist with a PhD in fluid dynamics and soft matter. Her field of expertise spans experimental and computational fluid dynamics, soft matter physics, and microfluidics. She has a strong publication record in prestigious international journals and has received several awards for her presentations. During her PhD, she conducted high-speed imaging experiments to investigate droplet impact events, exploring the applications of droplet impact-driven fluid flows. Lekshmi works at Archipelago Technology, Cambridge as a KTP Associate (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London.
Talk Title:
Imaging Techniques in Inkjet Printing: Enhancing the Powerdrop Technology
In this presentation, Lekshmi BS from Archipelago Technology will explain the importance of imaging techniques in optimizing the company’s Powerdrop coating technology. She will discuss how real-time imaging helps monitor and refine the jetting process, providing key insights into fluid behaviour, droplet formation, and coating quality. By using various imaging tools, from high-speed cameras to time-lapse methods, Lekshmi will show how Archipelago’s approach improves efficiency and precision across a range of applications, from sustainable packaging to industrial coatings.
